Greater London LEZ Implementation Tougher LEZ emissions standards came into force from 1 March 2021 for the Greater London area. This was originally postponed to give affected businesses time to meet the new standards as they faced intense demands from the coronavirus pandemic. Heavy vehicles including lorries and specialist vehicles over 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight will need to meet Euro VI (NOx and PM) emissions standards or pay a daily charge to drive within the Greater London area.
