One of A-Plant’s Apprentices has been recognised as a rising star in the plant hire and wider construction industry. Samuel Cooper-Hart, who is a Plant Mechanic Apprentice working from A-Plant’s Northampton Service Centre, has been declared a ‘Star of the Future’ at the CPA’s (Construction Plant-hire Association) Annual Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship Awards Presentation.

From 750 entries of Plant Mechanic Apprentices nationwide, Samuel was one of only 21 regional ‘Stars of the Future’ award winners and he was also nominated for the coveted Level 2 national award.

Bob Harper, Head of Training at A-Plant said: “We are delighted that Samuel has won the Level 2 Regional Award and it is great recognition for him as an individual. Since joining A-Plant as an Apprentice at our Northampton Service Centre Samuel has been hard working, reliable and has an excellent attitude towards health and safety. He regularly takes on jobs without being prompted and can be found willingly assisting fitters, both on customer sites and in the workshop.

“On the back of Paige Carter’s regional and national success last year with the CPA, it gives us fantastic pride that our commitment to develop Apprentices is recognised, as we firmly believe that investing in them now is investing in the future of A-Plant,” he continued.

Commenting on his award win, Samuel Cooper-Hart said: “To get this recognition for all the effort and hard work I have put in is very satisfying. This is a very proud moment for me and my family and one that I could not have achieved without the support provided by the team at A-Plant.”

As well as learning his trade from A-Plant’s Northampton Service Centre, Samuel also attends Reaseheath College, Cheshire, on residential block release as part of a three-year Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship Programme.
